# Prospect's officers and directors, 2019–2026

**Question.** Who led Prospect Medical Holdings and its subsidiaries in its later years?

**Answer.** Samuel Lee was chief executive and David Topper a senior vice president when Rhode Island examined PMH's managers in 2021; by December 2023 Von Crockett and Topper were co-chief executives, and by May 2024 Alfredo Sabillo was chief financial officer. Lee, Topper and Crockett signed the subsidiaries' bankruptcy resolutions in January 2025, certified by general counsel Frank Saidara.

## Executives

- Analysis: In its 2021 review the Rhode Island Attorney General examined under oath, for PMH, Samuel Lee (chief executive officer), David Topper (senior vice president), Mark Johnson (chief financial officer) and George Pillari (senior vice president of integration and operations), and, for Leonard Green, its partners Alyse Wagner and John Baumer. In May 2024 the Attorney General's office examined under oath, among others, Alfredo Sabillo (PMH chief financial officer), George Pillari (PMH corporate chief of integration and operations improvement), Ben Mingle (president of The Centurion Foundation) and Jeffrey Liebman (CharterCARE chief executive). - Analysis: The U.S. Senate Budget Committee's letter of December 6, 2023 was addressed to Von Crockett and David Topper as co-chief executive officers of PMH. PMH's website, as retrieved in October 2026, lists Crockett and Topper as co-chief executive officers, with Crockett also described as president of Alta Hospitals and Topper as president of Alta Hospitals System, LLC; Mitchell Lew, MD as president; Sabillo as chief financial officer; and Rob Elders and Frank Saidara as co-general counsel. That page is a company self-description, undated, and may not reflect changes after the 2025–2026 sales. In the January 2025 Transaction Committee Crockett was described as chief executive officer and Saidara as general counsel, and the November 2025 Waterbury sale agreement names PMH's management as Crockett (co-chief executive officer), Sabillo (chief financial officer) and Kim Lumia (chief operating officer); the August 2025 California agreement defines the sellers' knowledge as that of Crockett and Sabillo. In March 2019 Kimberly A. Lumia testified to the Connecticut General Assembly as PMH's Chief Regional Performance Officer for its East Coast hospital division. - Analysis: Executive-data profiles, aggregator entries without exact dates of service, describe Mitchell Lew, MD as a former president of PMH who sits on the board of Prospect Medical Group and was previously chief executive officer of Prospect Medical Systems, Inc.; Mark Johnson and Alfredo Sabillo as former chief financial officers; Rob Elders as a former co-general counsel; and Von Crockett as PMH's chief executive officer. ## Leonard Green's partners

- Analysis: PMH's 2010 merger proxy names John Danhakl (with the firm since 1995), Peter Nolan and Jonathan Sokoloff (with the firm since 1990) as managing partners of Leonard Green; Leonard Green's website in 2026 lists Sokoloff and Danhakl as managing partners, John Baumer as a senior partner who joined in 1999 and Alyse Wagner as a partner who joined in 2003. A securities-data profile, an aggregator entry, describes Michael S. Solomon as a former partner of Leonard Green & Partners and a former director of PMH, among other companies. ## Subsidiary boards at the bankruptcy

- Analysis: The omnibus resolutions authorising the January 11, 2025 bankruptcy filings were signed by Samuel S. Lee and David Topper as the board of Prospect Waterbury, Inc., by Lee alone as the board of Hospital Advisory Services, Inc., and by Von Crockett and Topper as the boards of Prospect East Holdings, Prospect CT, Alta Los Angeles Hospitals, Southern California Healthcare System, Prospect ECHN, Prospect Rockville Hospital, Prospect Manchester Hospital, Prospect Oldco NJ and other corporations. Crockett signed as member for the group's limited liability companies, including Prospect East Hospital Advisory Services, Coordinated Regional Care Group, Prospect CharterCARE, Prospect Crozer, Prospect CharterCARE RWMC and SJHSRI, Prospect CCMC and Prospect DCMH, and Frank Saidara certified the resolutions as secretary of each company. The resolution authorising Alta Hospitals System, LLC's filing was signed by Crockett and Topper as its board of managers. [src-050] [src-006]
