# How Trafigura Pte Ltd finances the group

**Question.** How does Trafigura Pte Ltd take part in the group's financing and investments?

**Answer.** TPTE guarantees, with TGPL and Trafigura Trading LLC, the EUR 3,000,000,000 note programme of Trafigura Funding S.A., which lends most of its proceeds to TPTE, and it is the seller of trade receivables in the group's securitisation programme, which held USD 4.36 billion of receivables in 2026. TPTE held 1.25% of a Chinese bank in 2024 and is named as a founding member of a Singapore trade-data exchange; the group holds 49.5% of the Lobito railway concession in Angola and runs the investment manager Galena.

## The bond programme

- Analysis: TPTE, TGPL and Trafigura Trading LLC guarantee notes issued under the EUR 3,000,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note programme of Trafigura Funding S.A., a Luxembourg financing company with no staff of its own owned by Trafigura Holdings Pte. Ltd.; its base prospectuses were approved by the Central Bank of Ireland in 2023 and 2025 for listing in Dublin. [s-d4]

## The receivables securitisation

- Analysis: Since 2004 TPTE has sold trade receivables into the group's securitisation programme, Trafigura Securitisation Finance; for the 2026-1 series a rating agency describes TPTE, Trafigura Asia Trading and Trafigura Trading LLC as originators, with the other two selling their receivables to TPTE, TGPL as master servicer and Société Générale and Standard Chartered in supporting roles, over USD 4,357.53 million of receivables. ## Group results

- Analysis: TGPL's half-year report to 31 March 2026 shows revenue of USD 141.9 billion, underlying EBITDA of USD 7.9 billion and net profit of USD 4.1 billion; separate figures for TPTE are not published in the record. [s-d6]

## Investments

- Analysis: TPTE was the beneficial owner of 1.25% of the shares of Weihai City Commercial Bank in June 2024 and is named among the founding members of the SGTraDex trade-data exchange; a related SGTraDex company with TPTE's past and present directors on its board resolved in 2026 to wind up. At group level, a Trafigura subsidiary and Mota-Engil jointly control the company that runs the Lobito railway in Angola under a 30-year concession awarded in 2022, and Galena Asset Management, regulated by FINMA, manages funds linked to the group's investments.
