Scope and method

Covers Purdue Pharma L.P., its general partner Purdue Pharma Inc., the other Chapter 11 debtors, the ownership chain up to the Sackler family trusts, directors and officers, the independent associated companies insofar as they connect to Purdue, consultants and distributors, and the courts' and regulators' actions, from the founding of the Purdue Frederick Company in 1892 to records retrieved on 22 October 2026. It relies on a fixed set of retrieved documents; documents cited in them but not retrieved, including several pleadings, plea schedules and settlement exhibits, were not read.

Every statement and relationship found in the documents reviewed was read and given a recorded decision, and each public claim was compared with the exact passage of its source document. For each allegation, all retained document text was searched for responses and outcomes, which are kept beside the claim. Sources other than official records of federal and state courts, the Department of Justice, state attorneys general and agencies, local governments, the U.S. House of Representatives, the SEC, the FEC, HHS-OIG, WIPO and official company and charity registers are identified by category only. Personal details such as ages, birth dates, nationality and home addresses are omitted, as are personal matters of relatives that have no connection with Purdue. The review was carried out by an AI editor without independent human review.
